Project Team - PT The Project Team is composed by experts belonging to the involved parties or from other institutions, related to the different fields of the SPARX-FEL project (linear accelerator, undulators, beamlines, diagnostics, infrastructure, security). The PT's aim is to define the final project of the facility and to establish a cost-estimate related to its operation (either in terms of financial or human resources). Directorate The SPARX-FEL Directorate is composed by a Project Director, a Project Manager, a Scientific Coordinator and a Technical Coordinator. Its role is to ensure the correct accomplishment of the project (design and construction). The Project Director (PD), whose responsability is the coordination of all the phases of the design and the construction of the facility, is appointed by the INFN after consertation with the CTS representatives of CNR, ENEA and the university of Rome Tor Vergata. He also coordinates the project team. The PD reports to the CTS the construction plans of the facility and the advancement of the project itself. He is assisted by a Deputy Director (DD), and, in agreement with the CTS, appoints the Project Manager, the Scientific Coordinator and the Technical Coordinator. WorkPackages The entire work of the SPARX-FEL Project is divided in different Workpackages that are coordinated and led by a Workpackage Leader (WPL). The Wp Leaders are appointed by the Project Director, in agreement with the scientific representatives of the CTS. Evaluation committee At least once a year, a board of national and international experts, evaluates the technical, the scientific and the organizational aspects of the project. Two committees evaluate the project: Machine Advisory Committee - (MAC) User Advisory Committee - (UAC) Their evaluation is sent to the PD and the CTS. These Committees are appointed in concertation among all the parties (CNR, INFN, ENEA, University of Rome Tor Vergata). Furthermore, an Industrial Advisory Committee (IAC) is established, whose aim is to indentify possible industrial applications either in national or international field related to the SPARX-FEL. This committee is appointed by the Regione Lazio and elaborates a report that is sent to the CTS. |
